Each inmate has an account upon which to deposit money for use while incarcerated.

  • All money in an inmate's possession at the time of his/her arrival will be deposited into his/her inmate account
  • Friends and family may deposit money in person on an inmate's account from 07:00 A.M - 08:00 P.M, 7 days per week by visiting Correction's Public Teller Window located at 710 S. 17th St Omaha, NE 68102. Friends and family are allowed to make one deposit per day.
  • Funds Accepted include:
    • Cash
    • Money orders
    • Cashier's or certified checks drawn from banks within the local area and subject to verification
    • Credit card deposits are accepted online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at www.ConnectNetwork.com
  • The following funds are NOT accepted:
    • Foreign currency
    • Personal checks
  • Inmates may use funds from their accounts to:
    • Pay bonds, fines & costs or other court ordered fees
    • Purchase commissary items and phone time
    • Release money to a friend or family (must be on the inmate's visiting list) one time during his/her incarceration.  Any exceptions to this must be approved by the director or designee.
  • Funds remaining on the inmate's account will be returned to the inmate upon their release (up to $25.00 in cash and the balance by check).
  • Bonds:  Money collected to post bond is deposited on the inmate's account which the inmate may use to post bond. The court will return bond money to the inmate not to the person who deposited the money for bond on the inmate's account. A bond assignment form may be completed if the inmate wishes to have the bond refund sent to someone else. NOTE: The court charges a 10% fee which is automatically deducted from the bond monies received. Additionally, the court may deduct court costs and fines.
